Remembering

My Mom's Obituary

Some family pictures from the past

(Circa 1967)

(Circa I haven't a clue ... 1970?)

(Circa 1975)

(2006 - yea, I know, that's a big leap in years.  All of us and our spouses)

(2009 - my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary party)

Even though I knew this day would come, it all seems very surreal.  Next week, reality will hit hard when family comes into town and we have to get through the visitation, funeral mass and burial.

Next week will be tough.

Thank you all so much for your love and support.

It will be tough but you're a tough lady so I know you'll handle it with grace. Moms like us often don't let ourselves "crack" emotionally -- we don't want others to think we're weak, but it's OK to let down your guard and just feel how you want to feel without the "brave front". We're here and we love you, call if you neeed anything. A big hug!

Sorry you are going through this. It is not easy, and it is not fun. Fortunately, you have a supportive family--it helps. Prayers and big hugs as you get through the service and the "firsts."
Love,
Kristy

What a beautiful family and wonderful mother you must have had, if you are any reflection of the person she was! I am sorry not to have known her, but I am quite sure the world will be less one loving soul. I am praying this week will bring your family together in love and peace to celebrate her life and mourn her missing presence with you. God bless you all during this time.

Oh, Ann, I love the pictures. The "era" of the older ones looks so familiar...time goes too quickly. Thanks for sharing.
